New Ross Laneways
Gatecraft work with Wexford County Council to install ornate archways on in multiple locations around New Ross. As part of a destination town initiative that seen the traditional parts of New Ross.
The New Ross Laneway Project
Wexford County Council commissioned The Walls Project, Hearts Outdoor Lighting and ourselves to give the lanes of New Ross a new lease of life. We designed and installed ornate archways at both ends of each lane.
Each Arch incorporates an important feature from the town’s past as Seamus Power from Powers Foundry designed a cast of the former centrepiece from the town’s old bridge (1869) which was then crafted as a feature for these new archways, topped off with a gorgeous traditional lamp from Hearts Outdoor lighting
